Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation

During our first session, we will meet for 75 minutes virtually via telehealth where we develop a nurturing/trusting patient-practitioner relationship. We accomplish this partnership by getting to know you as a unique person, by prioritizing what is most important to you, not just your “symptoms”. We will conduct a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and offer treatment options based upon your unique needs and together, choose the best options for you. I specialize in

Follow Up
Appointments

After our initial visit, we meet again to discuss about how you have been doing since we last met. We talk about the treatment recommendations that are working well and those that we may need to adjust. This may include prescribed psychiatric medications, lab work/results, genetic testing, psychotherapy such as CBT, DBT, supportive therapy, and client-centered therapy with complementary holistic interventions such as nutritional supplementation.

These visits are time based depending on your unique needs giving you a choice of services including 30 minute sessions, 45 minute sessions and 60 minute sessions that are more focused in nature to allow for a combination of medication management strategies, holistic interventions, and/or psychotherapy.

Every treatment plan is different and the frequency of visits typically range from weekly sessions to every 2-3 months depending upon your individual goals & needs.

Integrative Holistic Care

Integrative holistic psychiatry includes traditional psychiatric treatments such as medication management and psychotherapy combined with complementary interventions.

We review lifestyle factors—such as stress management, coping mechanisms, exercise, nutrition, life transitions, hormonal fluctuations, past trauma & grief, and sleeping patterns, all of which can deeply impact your mental, emotional and physical well being.

Together, we will explore evidence-based complementary approaches, including meditation, yoga, forest bathing, exercise, and make recommendations for nutritional supplements. Together, we make individualized treatment plans based on your goals.

I know with absolute certainty that life can change in an instant. As a cancer survivor, I deeply understand how overwhelming, frightening, and isolating life’s most difficult challenges feel.

Establishing Care at Brave Heart NP In Psychiatry

Beginning a journey to improve your mental health is a courageous step. You are not alone and I am here to empower you to embark on that journey. I would be honored to walk beside you. This is what to expect when you begin care with me.

Initial Contact/ Complementary Call

I will reach out to you to set up an initial complementary 15 minute phone call to share detailed information about my practice, including fee structure. This gives you a chance to see if my approach resonates with you and your goals to determine if we are a good “fit”.

Comprehensive Evaluation

Next, we will schedule a 75-minute comprehensive psychiatric evaluation appointment. Prior to meeting, you will receive forms to complete. Please fill these out thoroughly, as they provide invaluable information regarding your unique history and goals. This allows us to develop treatment strategies which will include the option of medication management and/or integrative holistic interventions. This is how we understand the relationship between the body, mind, and spirit.

Creating Your Treatment Plan

I look forward toward collaborating with you to establish a personalized treatment plan.
