Integrative Holistic Care
Integrative, holistic psychiatric care means seeing and treating the whole person—not just a diagnosis or set of symptoms, but a life shaped by experiences, biology, relationships, & meaning.
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner & a cancer survivor, my understanding of mental health has been shaped not only by clinical training, but by lived experience. Navigating serious illness deepened my awareness of how profoundly interconnected our emotional and physical worlds are—& how essential it is to feel truly seen, heard, and cared for in the healing process.
As such, mental health is never viewed in isolation. We explore the full landscape of your wellbeing: mood, anxiety, thought patterns, and behaviors, alongside sleep, nutrition, hormonal balance, stress physiology, & the impact of medical conditions or life transitions. I also consider the role of relationships, environment, identity, what is meaningful to you, and spirituality.
Integrative holistic care defined…
Integrative care means drawing from both evidence-based psychiatry & complementary approaches. This may include psychotherapy, medication when appropriate, & supportive strategies such as nervous system regulation, sleep optimization, nutritional support, and mind-body practices. Each treatment plan is thoughtfully tailored—never one-size-fits-all.
Equally important is how care is delivered. I strive to create a space that feels calm, respectful, and unhurried—where you can speak openly and feel understood without judgment. Healing, is not about quick fixes, but about providing compassion, fostering resilience, & the belief that one can become empowered to face life’s most difficult challenges.
Having faced my own vulnerability, I bring a deep sense of compassion to this work. Integrative, holistic care is ultimately about partnership—walking alongside you with clinical expertise and genuine empathy, while supporting your capacity to heal in a way that honors your whole self.
